Second Quarter 2017 Connecticut Market Report

• Closed sales for single family homes increased by 3.0% year over year while condominium sales increased by 7.2% year over year.

• Sales over $5 million increased from 16 sales in the second quarter of 2016 to 24 sales in the second quarter of 2017. Total luxury home sales – those over $2 million – remained the same year over year.

• Days on market decreased by 9.1% in Connecticut, while average price increased by 2.6% to $390,800 for single family homes.

• Average price increased in most counties in the Second Quarter 2017, most notably in Litchfield County for single family homes (14.6%) and New London County for condominiums (16.3%).
